I'm not sure if his anthropological claims about African indigenous economies are true (at about 16:40), as I don't know enough about the subject, but...

Yes it is easy for him to attack and exploit the failures of African socialism. But the utopian he is, he claims to offer a solution, namely, his libertarianism. This is where he becomes relevant, and here, all the more insignificant.

Have you seen their (Mises I believe) defense of Somalia? It contains quite enlightening facts including how the average life span has risen there by 5 whole years recently (to roughly 51). It irks them to no end when you bring up that the USSR, China, and similar countries far surpassed them by such measures :laugh:.

Most libertarians point to Botswana as their example of a positive African economy.
