I was bored and trying to read up on that new Che movie, so I typed in "che guevara" in the search engine...and they credit him as an actor? I'm sorry, but this is just wrong on all levels...

Indeed, very wrong. They claim he was born both in Rosario and Misiones, a state which does not have Rosario in it's borders, as far as I know.
Guevara became a dedicated Marxist while still in his teens
I have always been under the impression he certainly was not a dedicated Marxist till around his early 20's.
As a student, he vowed to dedicate his life to revolutionary causes
I don't recall that vow as a student at all. His political philosophies were still formulating.
He left Argentina later that year to take part in a Communist revolt in Guatemala
That was not the actual purpose of him leaving. It was hardly a "communist revolt" either. It was the defend Jacobo Arbenz elected government from intervention from the CIA and trained mercenaries. He was fighting against imperialism and the overthrow of an elected government. Jacobo Arbenz was not a "communist" either, his "mistake" was to allow the Guatemalan labour party who's platform was that of a socialistic party to be given legal status as a party.
There he adopted his revolutionary nickname, nom de guerre Che, the local slang for "pal."
He got that in Mexico before they sailed to Cuba, not in Guatemala.
When the revolution in Guatemala failed the following year, Che fled to Mexico where he was introduced to another Communist revolutionary in exile, Fidel Castro
It was not a failed revolution in Guatemala at all, fighting for an elected government from an attack from a foreign nation and Fidel Castro was not a communist at this point
Che was assigned command of half of Castro's forces with the rank of Comandante, a title he shared only with Castro himself
Camilo Cienfuegos was also a Commandate, as far as I know.
Che became the Cuban minister of agriculture
He washead of the Department of Industry of the National Institute of Agrarian Reform, after the revolution.
As well as what Jannez says, a little research shouldn't go estray, I bet they haven't got a detail wrong about Ben Affleck :)

I read somewhere that he had played the part of Fidel in a low-budget documentary, sometime in the 80's.
