Hello all. I've wanted to join for a little while, but my politics would probably have gotten me banned! I used to be a fascist, but I became disenchanted with it. It really is quite horrible. I find myself in support of Chavismo and the Bolivarian revolution, and I don't think I can call myself a Marxist at this time, but I am here to learn :)!

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

Why were you attracted to fascism in the first place and what made you break with it?

Thanks! I had some friends who's parents were neo-nazis, and those friends eventually became neo-nazis too. I fell in line with everything they had said, and I really never thought for myself at the time. It was when I was 17 I was working at a restaurant and got fired alongside a black coworker for no real reason.. I had no explanation for the black coworker getting fired too. I started thinking more and more about the type of things I believed in, and just stopped believing them. I sort of went non-political for a while, until I started reading about Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. I guess this was the point I really started thinking on class lines.

Welcome to the forum! When I hear about people turning from fascism to radical leftist politics I have a little faith in humanity restored.

I hope you'll stick around. :)
