Current influence of Sorel?

I'm curious whether any radicals currently engage with Sorel at all. I know that at the end of his life he went over to the extreme right and was, in any event, a big influence on Mussolini and other fascists. But his emphasis on vitalistic spontaneity seems to have some relationship to the thought of folks like Negri and other autonomists. Any thoughts are helpful.

I think many read him and engage with his ideas as a part of intellectual history. Its probably a mistake to ignore his work alltogether. But I don´t think he´s a direct or acknowledged influence on anyone on the left today.

Sorel is definitely read and taken seriously by left communists within the "communization" current, and other revolutionaries that tend towards "voluntarism" and Max Stirner's egoist anarchism. I think Sorel's influence, and the bleed between fascism and anarchism, can be seen in the attitude of insurrectionary anarchists and voluntarist-communization left communists today.

Such emphasis is a negative legacy influence on the left as a whole.

I believe that Franz Fanon and certain individuals in his intellectual current were also influenced by Sorel.
