Global Revolutionary Analysis?

What writers out there are engaged in a world-scale analysis of revolutionary possibility? Relating political developments in Latin America to the expansion of Chinese-led development initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa, for instance. I'd love to check out something like that and simply have no clue where to start.
