I am Arakir, and I currently identify as a Democratic Socialist. I am here to learn about and discuss anarchism, communism, and other societal and political issues.
Yeah, here's my intro thread. Sup?
Welcome :)
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

Welcome!
Democratic Socialist, eh? I know of at least a few and I consider them comrades of mine. We do all have the same goal afterall of abolishing capitalism :).

Before anyone restricts this person I think we should consider that he's new and obviously willing to learn (until proven otherwise). Also, democratic socialist and social democrat definitely aren't the same (so he's not necessarily a liberal). Also, I was a social democrat when I first joined this site and have since then become a communist, which probably wouldn't have happened had I been restricted immediately.
Anyways, welcome comrade :)

As long as he's against capitalism I doubt he'll be restricted. Democratic socialists, as far as I know, are anti-capitalist. Social Democrats are not.

Agreed. The trouble arises though in the definition of "democratic socialism" which many people consider (although fallacious in their arguments) is essentially the same as being a social democrat or as including mainly social democrats.
"Democratic Socialists" aren't auto-restricted, exactly because the definition is so vague and means something else for everyone.
So, no need to panic ;)
