I have come here to RevLeft for help in a struggle. You see comrades, who is more powerful; a school of fish, or small groups of fish? The school of fish correct?
So this is why I have come to you all for help. I have started an organization called the Maki Communist Assembly, which isn't related to Israel at all so the name might have to be changed in the future. Nonetheless, we are a small group of people who have banded together to try to unite the various groups of Communism that dot the internet. The Deviantart Communist Party, the Reddit Communist Party, and then there's us, the MCA.
I'll use our Manifesto to explain further:
" What are we about? This is a question I have been asked and I am expecting more questions like it. Well, we are the Maki Communist Assembly, not to be confused of course with the Maki Israeli Communist Party.
What's our main agenda? This is a good question. We are the Internet Communist Party, the first to my knowledge. We aren't stationed at a particular site, or anything like that. Our goal is to unite Communists around the internet under one banner and influence those who aren't Communists. The reason for this is simple; Communism has fallen out of public favor.
I'm sure few of you will deny this. What happens when you say you're a Communist? People start criticizing people they know nothing about and expect to win an argument. This is the main reason why Communism has fallen out of favor. People have just been taught it's bad and to hate it. The ones who lived in it are free to form their own opinions, but how many Americans have lived under a Communist state? Their only knowledge comes from people who know nothing about Stalin or Marx slandering them like they were blood thirsty killers.
So what do we do? We unite under a single banner and we spread from place to place spreading art, music, and history. History backed with sources please. That's our job. Simple isn't it? No, we aren't trying to form a new internet world order or anything like that. Nope, just spreading Communism, simple Communism, to people around the world.
So where do YOU come in? That depends on your talents. Are you a good artist? Then the propoganda ministry needs you, comrade, to spread the word of Communism through memes, posters, and art that we will do our best to make popular. Are you good at videos? Make news videos or music videos and spread them around. Are you popular? Get people you know to join in on the fight and support us with new members. Are you a musician? Music, music, music, comrade.
What if I fall in none of these? No problem comrade, because nor do I! Your job is to make this stuff popular, spread it around, watch it, comment, argue, and support in any way possible to support our position. We need you as much as we need them. That is what Communism has taught us, a worker is as good as a god.
What's going to happen once we reach our goals? Hopefully we are going to help open up a new chapter of just looking at Communism for its politics and not its history. If we can get a few people on our side that is great too. We aren't looking to take over the world, we are looking to help lay the foundations for stronger Communist parties around the world, and in such a simple way.
How do you sell a product? By advertising and getting a product out there. Is the same thing not true for politics as well? Imagine if we could get a poster of Communism on every site. Imagine if we could spread the words of Marx and Lenin and Mao etc. to those who previously knew little about it. Just imagine comrades if these same people spread it to people they knew and so on. That is what we are doing. We are making history, and you are a part of it. No small part either comrade, no, you are the foundation. Take one brick out of a wall and the wall crumbles. We need everyone united under the cause that no man should get famous simply by looking pretty. We must unite under the ideals that everyone must work together in order to form a more perfect union.
So, what are our politics? Besides Communism, that is up to you. Follow the teachings of Marx is the only thing I ask. Dividing ourselves up into small groups is pointless and is a prelude to failure.
Now, I leave you with this final line of wisdom; Workers of the world unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains! "
