Hi, I'm Kindness! I participate on a few other political forums (mostly of a right-wing bent, unfortunately), so some of you may recognize me from over there.

I'm a sociology graduate student from the American Midwest, specializing in social policy, social organization and political sociology.

Outside of my professional life, I'm interested in outdoor and winter sports, independent music, deep conversations, and outdoor / winter sports. I'm not married and don't have any kids, but I come from a big, close-knit family whom I love dearly. I love animals and have had dogs and cats for most of my life.

Politically speaking, I'm a Marxist socialist with anarcho-pacifist leanings (think Trotsky meets Tolstoy). I'm an activist for black, Latino, Native American, women's, LGBT, third-world, and other human rights. I'm also an ethical vegan who's passionate about animal rights and environmental liberation. Religiously speaking, I'm an atheist and metaphysical naturalist, but I respect and appreciate all non-fundamentalist religious and spiritual traditions.

I'm happy to have found this forum, and I hope to have some interesting discussions with you guys!
