I love HIMYM. Ted ruins the whole show though. He's such a sap and he's simply annoying. All the other characters are fine though. Also, Barney reminds me of a friend of mine so it makes the entire show that much funnier to me.

Ted is a pretty meh character and Robin can be annoying sometimes. Otherwise, HIMYM is great, head and shoulders above Friends.

HIMYM is great but it's gone downhill a lot now, I actually think Ted has been the funniest character recently. Friends is quite good too but I always just cared more about HIMYM

As i've seen both (i enjoy my american sitcoms stupid and with happy endings), i've gotta say Friends' a lot funnier all the way through, while HIMYM is funny until the fifth season or so.

HIMYM. I've never been a huge fan but a friend of mine is really into it because of NPH.

Plus, something about an openly gay actor playing a really convincing caricature of a straight playboy just makes me laugh. :grin:

This, kinda. I've never watched Trailer Park Boys. But It's Always Sunny is fucking awesome. So is Workaholics. I rarely watch TV, but when I do it's one of those two, or The Walking Dead, or random shit on the Smithsonian channel and the science channel.

I grew up watching this as a kid, though. Friends, too. So my vote goes to Friends.
