On this day, 16 of February, there was a demonstration against the PSD-CDS government and their right-wing policy. It was organized by the CGTP.
I attended, and took pictures. I will let the pictures reveal to you what the demonstration was like.
All pictures were taken by me, with my camera.

Jerónimo de Sousa, the general secretary of the PCP, also attended:

We don't have a word for union in portuguese, we have a word for syndicate.

Union quer dizer sindicato, companheiro.

Union quer dizer sindicato, companheiro.

Eu sei, só que eu quando quero escrever sindicato em inglês escrevo "syndicate" e não "union" porque é mais próximo do portugues.

Eu sei, só que eu quando quero escrever sindicato em inglês escrevo "syndicate" e não "union" porque é mais próximo do portugues.

O problema é que "syndicate" quer dizer truste, cartel.

Why all the slogans are targeting the government? What are the politics of the CGTP?

Why all the slogans are targeting the government?

There are also those targetting the troika and capital, but you chose to ignore those.

What are the politics of the CGTP?

Portuguese style communists. In other words radical social-democrats.

A lot of aggression there! Relax! Maybe you forgot to post those pictures or translate them, but from the things you translated, I only see antigovernment slogans and, indeed, some anti troika. But no anticapitalist ones.

And thats explainable. As you say, they are

radical social-democrats.

The question is, why you feel like you have to defend them so hard?
