Class struggle research paper

Hey comrades, i'm doing a research paper for my AP english class and I have to compare class struggle and injustice in To Kill A Mockingbird and in real life. I'm a bit behind but my first step is to give modern day (21st century) examples of class struggle under the categories social, political, and economic. Any suggestions? I definitely want to have a "left" feel to the paper.

21st century examples of class struggle are the same as 17th century examples of class struggle; people who have to work for a living more or less have their lives dictated by people who own property for a living.
