So I just finished watching the Pilot of the new show about Soviet KGB sleeper agents in the DC/Virginia area.

So far there's a few of the expected cheap anti-communist pot shots, although they aren't quite as in your face as I had expected. Although one major issue I had (spoilers:) is that they claim in the KGB: it was procedure to rape women cadets. I doubt that this was the case, and is likely a historical fiction.

Besides the obvious political interest, the show wasn't done too poorly. I may watch the second episode but haven't decided yet.

Has anyone else here seen it?

So after having seen the first 3 episodes, I would say that the anti-Communism still remains mostly subtle.

(Spoiler: But the end of the last episode certainly demonstrates the KGB to be partially unnecessarily brutal as a conclusion of the plot for the week. I'm assuming that the finale of this season will be a sort of "reveal" for one of the agents to realize the evils of the USSR. None of this is to say that the KGB was actually a "nice" or humane organization of course. Thus the shows anti-Communism remains "tempered" and certainly isn't mostly cheap jabs thus far. And it's a pretty neat show.)

The last scene from the very final episode was a bit of tearjerker.
