View Full Version : Rallies at secret locations?

So I've heard of quite a few of these events, which I've seen the fash in Australia openly promoting before, without actually revealing the location.
What I'm wondering is, what should we do, if anything, about stuff like this? Should we ignore it? Should we try to find out the location and set up a counter-demo or disrupt it in some way? Or is it too dangerous if it's in a private/secret location?
Furthermore, how do we locate these "secret" events when they're being reasonably secretive and not announcing the location?
o well this is ok I guess

Social media? You could get people to tweet with a particular hashtag if they see a fash demo.

I guess, but that's cutting it a bit close right? Ideally you'd want more time to prepare. Still, it's something. A good idea too, actually.

I know the upcoming event ur refering to and if possible it would be best to respond to them. These kind of events happen only a few times a year and are helpful in getting people involved and around an organisation your involved in. I suppose the best way to find the location would be to buy a ticket to the event but you have to way up the pros and cons of that decision.

Thanks for contributing, Dobomo. Well, that's true. I guess if you have enough people setting up a demo or something like that then one person buying a ticket could be worth taking the hit in order to proceed with some good action, but at the same time, it would be providing funds to the fash. Not sure what to think about that method really.
There has to be a way to find out without giving them money, right?

Whats 60 bucks to a fash? The high entrance fee isant to fundraise but to keep the rif raf out. If you have the ability and opportunity to disrupt an event bigots, nazis and zionists may attend its worth it. For a few reasons. 1. They dont cement themselves in society. 2. U get cred for being a serious group. 3. You can get people around you on the basis that something has to be done and these bigots just arent in europe but want to set up here. 4. Its fun :)

unless they have their own infrastructure the locations for these events are often rented under false pretexts, which is more than enough ground for the owner to ripup the renting contract.
so what we often do is gather a few ppl the day of the event and by following the organizers try to find out where the event is taking place. than its just a matter of calling the owner really quickly and impress upon him what a damage (PR and other wise) a nazi-convention in their business could bring them. The owner will then most of the time send the fash away, they will lose their down payment, they will have to find a second or even third location on short notice, they will get paranoid and think there are infiltrators or at least leaks and new recruits will either not get there at all or see a disorganized infighting bunch of tossers and look for greener pastures.
two or three of these successful actions can bring down decades old organisation i have seen..

Seems like it shouldn't be too hard to destroy their plans with the right contacts. That's some good info. Now if only I could track down their location =\

This seems like a very dangerous option. Not sure if it's really very safe, right? Although I guess you have to take extreme measures like this sometimes. I guess it's always an option, albeit an extremely distasteful one.

Just set up a fake online persona and get a disposable simcard, then apply to join the event, by the time you can't get the location or at least pre-meeting point that way anymore you are already winning. Because then neither can get other real potential recruits, soon enough paranoia and siege mentality will set in.

That's actually a pretty good strategy. Thanks psycho, it'll be good to have some workable plans for this now.

fake email accounts and facebook profiles normally does the job but quite often they will post the re-direction point openly

In the 90s we did crash some neo-Nazi events, but that was usually with a fair crew of people, and with some coalition behind it. I was just a kid at the time, but there were respected, if controversial, leaders from the Black and Aboriginal communities who were down with it. Some trade unionists, but no backing from any unions...

if you have a guess at where the location might be, if in public, call who hands out permits and ask around. if you know names of organizers/organizations, the event name, the date, or whatever you can use this all to your advantage.
just figured something out a few days ago doing that.

pretend to be a student journalist, email the organizers saying you would like to interview them and review the event blah blah blah. the smell of possible publicity is good.
and if they figure out youre full of shit they will be skeptical of any future journalists
