The incumbent right-wing Popular Party (PP) in Spain has been implicated in a corruption scandal that includes the prime minister, Mariano Rajoy.

to us, yes, but I assume to others not yet, hopefully a few scandals like this can spread that notion and strengthen the already quite significant anti-capitalist/radical groups in- and alongside the already huge and popular anti-austerity movement there.

Yes it is massively obvious, that is why the public are storming parliments and taking control of the means of production en masse.

Seriously this kind of hipster attitude and negativity is hurting my brain lately.

There are still those who have faith in bourgeois democracy and in bourgeois politicians. Scandals such as this one provide us with material to erode such faith.

In Britain, many people now have a total dislike of all politicians. This is in part due to the numerous cases of corruption spanning the last few decades, with the scandal about MP's expenses being the most recent and possibly the most damaging one.

However, there is a danger that this could turn into apolitical nihilism and cynicism.
