During Prime Ministers Questions yesterday...
1236: Ross Hawkins Political correspondent, BBC News
tweets: Ooos across chamber as Galloway rises to speak
Respect's George Galloway asks what are the differences between jihadists in Mali and Syria. The PM responds that "wherever there is a brutal Arab dictator" he will have Mr Galloway's support.
Oh no he didn't!!!!
Would love to have seen George's face. Not a fan of either Cameron or Galloway, but think this exchange was mildly amusing and also very telling about how George is viewed by fellow MPs.

Man, the UK legislature is a lot more raucous than Congress here in the states.
I love how you can talk shit about anyone you want as long as you refer to that individual as "the honorable gentleman", LOL

Pretty sure that's actually how they're obliged to refer to one another when parliament is in session.

So is pretty much everything about the UK parliament. I remember being told when I went on a visit there that the distance between the two halves was calculated so they couldn't reach each other with swords. And the ceremonial opening, don't even get me started.

lol welcome to the world of british politics. Also, it's "the RIGHT honourable gentleman", not just honourable. Sometimes when referring to a member of the same party they say "my esteemed colleague" or some such.

There's also some law about people aren't allowed to die in parliament because it would necessitate a state funeral or something

No, that's only for members of the (Queen's) Privy Council, I think.
