So I don't know when these purges happen but I didn't want to be included in them so.. hi!

I'm fairly new to Marxism (until a few months ago I had really no knowledge in the subject other than US propaganda) and so far I lean towards left communism. I'm working my way through a reading list I found somewhere on this forum and I've been a lurker for a few weeks before creating this account. My goal here is to learn more about communism and connect with others on the left as I live in the southern US and don't really have that opportunity in real life.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you here. :) What made you want to pick up learning about communism?

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you here. :) What made you want to pick up learning about communism?

I stumbled upon some leftist stuff on Reddit that helped me to rethink everything I had learned about communism in US public schools (aka communism = stalinism = evil) and began reading more into Marxist thought. I'm young and as such my political views have changed a lot in the last few years (liberal -> libertarian -> Marxist). As I said in my introduction though I'm still learning and feel that I haven't really learned enough until I'm able to teach and debate on the subject. I hope that I can pick up that knowledge and skill through communication with others here.

Seems to be mostly Marxist-Leninist but helped to change my perspective

Welcome.

I am new, and I'm starting to like it here. I used to be a lurker for a long time too, then I forgot about this site, and now, look, I'm a member!
