Since many of the temporary, regional subforums in Ongoing Struggles weren't active anymore, the BA decided to merge them all into the forum proper and start from scratch. There was talk about keeping some of the more active ones, but it was agreed that they can easily be set up again if need arises.
So whenever struggle intensifies in any specific region of the world, either one of those which previously had subforums or a new one - and this is reflected in an increase in discussions - a new subforum will be set up spontaneously in this forum.
