I was appealing to the admins for an unrelated restriction to be lifted a couple weeks ago, and someone told me that the name "PigmerikanMao" sounds like the name of a thirdworldist, and that I was likely to not be unrestricted. I took the comment to be more or less a funny comment to my own ideological dispositions, but I've been thinking, nonetheless:

Are thirdworldists worthy of restriction or disciplinary action because of their held political beliefs? I haven't found anything specific regarding thirdworldism in the FAQ, but what are your opinions on this? Are thirdworldists divisive to the leftist movement, or do they bring something credible to the table?

Not looking to make this a thirdworldist debate thread, as I believe there is already one going (that I've been meaning to respond to  ), but how should the thirdworldist be classified here on Revleft?

I think, that along with left-wing nationalists and the mroe hardcore primitivists, they should be restricted in spite of their association with communism.

Even self-identified leftists can be restricted on a case by case basis. And yes, this often happens to members who make a point out of denying the existance of the proletariat and of class struggle in the first world, regardless if they call themselves thirdworldists or whatever.

Board policy is not up for discussion in OI, but if the description doesn't fit you please clarify your actual views on the matter in the unfair restrictions thread.
