I'm looking to form something similar to the "From each according to their ability, to each according to their deed" (socialism) and "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need" (communism). I want to basically design one for capitalism. I wanna show the positive slogan like "From each according to their ability, to each according to their deed" and then an extremely negative one with the "From each according to their __________ and to each according to their ________" structure.
The current best ones I had so far were "From each according to their oppression, to each according to his greed" and "From each according to their need, to each according to his greed". The problem is that both of these need to be explained to an extent. Do you think these are acceptable, or are there better ones?

EDIT: thought of another one- "From each according to his desperation, to each according to his greed."

"The wants of the few outweigh the needs of the many"
(admittedly, doesn't have that positive slant)

"Peace, Liberty and Justice for Some"

"Everyone gets their fair Shares"

..OK, I'm not v good at this :crying: sorry

Capitalism: "From each according to their vulnerability, to each according to their status."

EDIT: thought of another one- "From each according to his desperation, to each according to his greed."

You would need a seperate one for each of the class under capitalism.

For example for the capitalists it would be: "From each according to their capital, to each according to their greed." For the workers it would be: "From each according to the capitalist's greed, to each according to their bare minimum requirements." Of course you would need a more catchy way to say it.

'From each according to their bargaining power, to each according to their productive output'
'From each according to their bargaining power, to each according to their greed'
Capitalism according to Michael Albert (paraphrased), I don't exactly recall which he said.

'From each according to their willingness to produce, to each according to their rewards for the productivity of their respective factors of production.'
Neoclassical economics.

'From each according to state quotas to each according to state quotas'
Central planning.

'From each according to the lord's wishes to each according to the lord's gratitude'
Feudalism.

'From each according to the master's commands to each according to the necessary means of life for the reproduction of productive labour'
Slavery.

I think Michael Albert's comment is the closest to describing capitalism. One's income is determined by one's bargaining power and the willingness to use that to satisfy your greed. Evidently, capitalists have more bargaining power since they have monopolised the means of production on which all of society depends. Likewise, specialised professions or professional athletes have monopolised a particular skill and therefore earn more than a cleaner or maid; a doctor more than a nurse; an academic more than a teacher; etc. Additionally, supply and demand also influences bargaining power. Remember that 'to each according to his abilities to each according to his needs/deeds' also needs additional explaining.

'How much?'

'Are you kidding me?'

'No, seriously, that's it?'

'Fuck this shit'.

All great slogans for capitalism I think.

Capitalism: "From each according to their vulnerability, to each according to their status."

I think this one best suits what I'm trying to do, thank you all so much. I'm looking into doing a propaganda campaign at my school to encourage kids to think politically, and of course, I didn't really wanna show capitalism for some majestic beautiful thing, because it's not. Anyhow, thank you all, it was really helpful.

From workers according to their physical resistance, to the bourgeois according to their money.

How about
From each according to her poverty, to each according to his vague ruling-class whimsy.
Mad libs are pretty fun!

maybe come up with something original instead of forcing an adaptation of an old adage?
