Indonesia country once ruled by a communist party that leaned toward Russia. Is there any of you who've read or analyzing collapse of communism in Indonesia?

Are you talking about the PKI? I know it had ties with Moscow in the 1920's I think and that they were organising Indonesian Red Guards, etc. But at the moment when the Indonesian people rose up against their colonial rulers in a communist revolution, the PKI tried to keep the people down for a little bit longer in the hope that they could organise the revolution better. Partly because of this, the revolution became a disaster. Many years later, the PKI joined in the government, but I doubt they were still communist at that time, seen the fact they they ruled side by side with Soekarno's nationalists, right?

Communist enough to get butchered on a massive scale by the junta with support of the CIA and dutch military secret services.
Conservative estimates estimate more than half a million killed; http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indonesian_killings_of_1965%E2%80%931966

Indeed, but the fact that they started to nationalise British owned buisness and send fighters to support the independence of malasya was probably one of the major reasons the right-wing generals where planing to remove sukarno (which in turn let to the "coup" attempt that eventually led to the genocide)

Welcome to RL. I don't think we have any active comrades from Indonesia, sadly.

It was not just the party who was massacred it was anyone suspected of being a communist usually names supplied courtesy of the British secret service. The figure I've always known for the Indonesian genocide is 3 million. It's one of the worst events of the 20th century no matter what their exact politics were they were working class men women and children.

As far as I know communist literature is still illegal in Indonesia.

I know, I wasn't stating that no (alledged) communists were harmed in the purges.

I mind communist movement, not just PKI. Indonesia has long story about that since 1920's until 1965 and i thing the biggest communist in Asia after china. Yah, there is CIA (capitalist) to destroyed communist in Indonesia. and than soviet, now china. next America Latin maybe, i just know a little bit. How can they (capitalist or liberalism) controlling the world?
