I am a college student from the Philippines.
- Whats the leftist scene there like?
The leftist scene here for me is mostly dominated by Maoist groups and center-left groups(liberals). There are few stalinist, trotskyist, and che focused groups around here, but not as popular as the Maoist. There are leftist feminist and LGBT groups around present here in my country. There are few anarchist here compared to other countries, and most of the anarchist here that I know are An-caps. Supporters of the Far-left are frowned upon by the society specially in urban areas. Most of the people here does not even know what communism is. Most of the students are apathetic (there are exceptions) and ignorant in politics. Right wing groups are prevalent here specially those groups who are tied with religion.
- What branch of leftism do you subscribe to?
I call myself interchangeably as an Anarcho-Communist/Anarcho-Syndicalist/Libertarian Socialist. In some degree I sympathize with the Marxist-Leninist, Trotskyist, and Maoist.
