Well, my moniker is Crownguard. I am a leftist who I would say has no general tendency as of yet (tired of the left being screwed over with in-fighting). I'm former military, currently back in college pursuing biochemistry and pre-med. I guess I'm on here looking for more information about groups and what is out there. I'm also a member of Social Alternative local to my area (New England).
Other than that, feel free to chat with me anytime. Always interested to learn more and hopefully return the favor.

Welcome.
I don't believe we have very many ex-military here. If you don't mind me asking, did your experiences in the armed forces lead you to radical politics?

We actually do have a few members here who were in the armed forces.

Welcome to the forum. Our member "The Douche" did a tour in Iraq if I remember correctly. Anyways, glad to have you with us, feel free to join discussions and ask questions. See you around!

If comrade Ostrinski doesn't change 'revolution' to 'Aquarius' I submit that he must be purged poste haste.
Also welcome! What branch where you in? Did you go abroad?

Welcome.

Army officer. I wouldn't say it radicalized me so much as expanded on ideas I had prior to serving. Seeing my own soldiers screwed over by the system certainly put it into perspective for me and made it much more personal. Obviously while in I did the best I could. I also got involved with some anti-war stuff on the side (off-base, obviously). Friends of mine who were in vet anti-war groups, etc.
As for serving abroad...went to S. Korea. I was supposed to do a tour in 'stan but they canceled the orders and I resigned my commission to hopefully study medicine.
I appreciate the welcome. I'm sorry I am a bit slow: still trying to navigate the site somewhat and learn about what groups and such are actually out there. Ironic somewhat, as I did study political science in uni :(.
