French neo-noir 80s movies.....

I've really been into French neo-noir movies with some seriously good cinematography. I've seen Diva, La Femme Nikita and Subway.

The only American film I've seen on this level was Michael Mann's Manhunter which blows them all out of the water actually. But does anyone know of any other great films that share this look? That contrast the heavy dark black with blue tints, has excellent cinematography?

I suppose that by La Femme Nikita you mean the movie and not the Canadian series. If you liked it I'd definitely recommend Léon : Le professionnel.

Man Bites Dog (1992), Leon (1994) and The Last Seduction (1994) spring to mind. Also, a bit more surreal, but Da Vierde Man (1983) and the movies of David Lynch - in particular Blue Velvet (1986)and Lost Highway (1997) - are quite brilliant examples of neonoir... although I'm not sure they're what you're looking for.

Specifically looking for the look and feel of the movies I listed. Blue tints, the cinematography and chic look.

Besides that, movies, tv shows, heck even print material. Just trying to make a short youtube film using the same techniques, cinematography, colors, etc.

Well blue tints are quite common in sci-fi and horror. You might find some good footage in Blade Runner (http://www.dbcovers.com/imagenes/backdrops/grandes/blade_runner_1982//blade_runner_1982_3.jpg) (1982) which retains the neonoir themes and style. The film Ronin (1998) might also be a good example. Both, along with Leon (1994) which was also directed by Luc Besson, have some excellent cinematography. You might also like the colours and cinematography in Wong Kar-Wai films, particularly Fallen Angels (1995).
