and during a childrens quiz there was a question obout what political ideal was associated with RED? the kid said communism, and the commentator for the program said yes those XXXXX* opposers of our society i can't remeber exactly what it was but it was a bloody sly comment against it

I noticed the other day how they associate communism and "badness" with no explanation to children.
A cartoon by Disney, "recess" or something. Some children in a play ground were discussing how to get another child into trouble, and one suggested "tell the teacher he's a communist"!!!
The young children watching, which im sure there will of been many, would surely not understand the comment, but would associate it with something wrong, which you can get in trouble for.

Children are always the unwitting pawns in politics. You've got to catch them when they're young, they always say.
The truth is, no matter what spectrum of politics a parent is inclined to, if a parent raises a child with a set of guiding principles, and these prinicples transcend religion, culture, and political belief, the child will grow up in a better position to decide what their own religious/cultural/political beliefs should be, and most probably, would rather 'buy in' to the left than squander their principles on the right.
But don't take my word for it, because it's four o'clock in the morning now, and I've had enough coffee to paralyse a cow.
