Are there documents and/or analyses out there that delve into the social and class composition of Greece's Golden Dawn? I've been searching with little luck so far. If anybody can point me to some sources I'd be very grateful.

I too would be interested. It would certainly make for an intriguing observation if past Marxist analyses of fascism ended up revealing themselves to be applicable to the rise of the Golden Dawn phenomenon. We know that much of the police force supports them, either close to or over 50% if I recall correctly. But I am wondering what role the petite-bourgeoisie is playing in all these developments, particularly.
Since we have always understood fascism as a petite-bourgeois movement that manifests itself in the squeezing of the petite-bourgeoisie by the haute-bourgeoisie, if this turned out to be a recurring trend it would certainly do much to legitimize the traditional Marxist analysis (perhaps not in the eyes of the bourgeois social scientists, but it helps us to re affirm that our methodology is effective.

A Reuters article (http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/04/25/us-greece-election-dawn-idUSBRE83O0YE20120425) written in April of last year mentions offhandedly the presence of farmers, shepherds, workers and retired army officers amongst the party's candidates for parliamentary elections, but does not go much further than that. It doesn't even include percentages, which is unfortunate. Were this true, it would support prior analyses of the NSDAP's 'core' base in Germany, and elsewhere. Class composition certainly outweighs that of social composition as well in terms of importance; the former's analysis should include answers to questions that factor in things like the distinction between industrial and agricultural workers, as well as the size and character of rural and urban centers. The latter simply serves to inform us as to the type of person the party attracts, which does have some significance.
