This is a brilliantly made little short about augmented reality (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augmented_reality) and gamification (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamification). The ending is a kicker as the exact situation is ambiguous (at least to me) but it still really punched me in the gut with its implications.

What's your reaction?

The ending is rather scary, as it implies there is much more to it than mere lenses. More hardwiring into the brain itself. The question then is: Who controls the wiring? Is a puppetmaster scenario possible?

But I do expect technology to go in this direction. Mobile phones, as we know them today, are a temporary thing. Google's Glass project (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c6W4CCU9M4) is the logical next step, with lenses soon to follow. Direct interaction with the optical cortex and other parts of the brain, as implied in the movie, would be the ultimate step in the tech-person symbiosis.
