I know tiny bit of Chinese and a lot of Korean and I finally realized why China studen' posts are so hard to read. S/he possibly does not speak a word of English and all of this is clumsily translated by a program as in copy and paste. Usually the posts were too short to make heads or tails but here I can see the mistakes pile up and certain mistakes that only an online translator would make (instead of Romanizing a name, the program translates the name of a person).

Could someone who knows Chinese please ask this poster to post in Chinese? Chinese can be translated but this stuff is incomprehensible. I know about the issues in question but if I didn't I would not be able to understand any of it.

China studen is apparently able to read some Korean and claims to know at least some Korean...so.....

Also a big factor at play with the homeless is the reliance of family welfare which is now impossible in the modern, fast-moving world and nothing has filled in the gap. 100 years ago, family ties were stronger and people moved less so elderly beggars would be in a different situation.

Korea also never had the state mental hospital system that the US once had. The US is like that now. With the public sanitariums all but gone, the demented and the schizophrenic are left to fend for themselves on the streets.

Thank You Chinese Student.

But I see this stuff everyday in the United States.

Let's not start with that. I could say I saw worse in Mexico, but it misses the point. Social injustice must always be pointed out and brought to light, even if it makes certain elements of society uncomfortable.

Of course but the point was that if he was surprised to see that in South Korea which boasts a capitalist bastion of liberty, imagine if he just came to Los Angeles. The US has some of the worst if not the worst homeless problem in the developed world. It's painful to see the amount of homeless in Los Angeles alone.
