Philosophos

Yesterday I was having a couple of drinks with some friends and all of the sudden the one and only left friend that I have started the philosophical and "deeply searched" debate. We started talking about lots of things and suddenly the conversation went to the human intelligence.
I'm going to make it as an RPG game to make you understand it. He believes that there are some people that are born very gifted. They have lots of Intelligence and as time passes they evolve their intelligence. The thing is that within these people (the gifted with great intelligence) there are some people that didn't evolve (they started let's say with 10 INT and they stayed with 10 INT until they died). So these people are somehow more stupid than the guys that evolved and got let's say 20 INT, because they started the same but they didn't get an advantage of this gift they got by nature.
I stated that every person alive has the same opportunity to become intelligent on his own way. I might be good at seeing first the whole picture and after that the details, but there are some other people that are good at the exact opposite: first details then the whole picture. So these people aren't stupid they just never had the chance to start critically thinking or they didn't learn how to learn staff etc.
He said that he and I are somehow clever people and we had some of the worst education on the god damn planet. We constantly ask arouselves "why is that happening" and other things and we know more things than other people do even if this educational system helps THEM instead of us. So these people and the rest of the stupid people that don't care about anything because they are ignorant or they have no sense of curiosity at all are STUPID while WE are smart by our natures.
He agrees at some point with me (that we can all become intelligent) but he just can't let go of his view that there are some people that are extremely stupid by nature or they are stupid because they have all the necessary stats to become clever and they clearly don't take advantage of them.
