Top Conservative Publication: Shooting Occurred Because Women Ran The School (http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2012/12/19/1361521/top-conservative-publication-newtown-happened-because-women-ran-the-school/)

If there were fewer women and more male aggression in Sandy Hook Elementary School, the massacre there never would have taken place, according to a contribution to a leading conservative magazine.

"If there were fewer women and more “male aggression” in Sandy Hook Elementary School, the massacre there never would have taken place, according to a contribution to a leading conservative magazine"Sounds like something The Taliban would say.

The worst part is that it's a woman making that argument.

I went to elementary school almost FIFTY years ago in a semi-rural semi-suburban area and females by far predominated way back then. Klaatu is absolutely right. If these clowns aren't Taleban they at least seem to be Wahabi. A traditional American conservative would realize that elementary education has been a traditionally female area for at least a hundred years. The assclowns that wrote that article are the type of reactionaries that want to party like its 1859.

I don't think it really matters how big and masculine you are if a .223 round tears through your chest.

It's hard to believe that the thought did not once enter the author's head...

Remember when jocks saved Columbine?
Oh, wait . . .

These are the same people that think men are tougher than women, smarter than women, able to run a business/run a country better than women, and so on, none of which is true. Everyone is equal.

This is sexism to the max; logic to the minimum. This goes right along with racism, religious bigotry, xenophobia, you name it.

That would be Charlotte Allen. She seems genuinely unhinged, promoting Sarah Palin for POTUS in 2016 and this nonsense, too. OTOH she could be a deep-cover mole from our side working to discredit the Right by making extreme arguments and promoting the unelectable Ms. Palin.;)

So, are these shootings not "male aggression"? They seem to be quite literally aggression by males, often against females.

Yes, every school should be required by law to have a knight in shining armor.

I have been keeping up to day on all the conservative rants from the website "Right-Wing Watch" and can say that it has been a hilariously sad time looking at every new "hypothesis" on why the shooting occurred. So far the "reason" have been because of: homosexuals, political correctness, gun control, woman, god no longer being in the schools, video games, atheism... the list goes on and on.

Have they tried to blame Muslims yet?

Not that I have seen but I am sure it is out there (it always is, after all). But such Islamaphobia is almost always mixed in with the "god out of the schools" nonsense because these fundementalists have this deluded concept about America being a "Christian Nation", so secularism and education get mixed up in their "guilt by association" tactics (Secularism and Islam are not Christianity therefore they are related in the vast conspiracy to destroy righteous America, ad infinitum).

*sigh*

...I just want to hit them repeatedly in the crotch, over and over, hoping they will bleed and vomit the stupid out of themselves..
It's a kind of exorcism, might work, might not.

We had no gods in our public schools when I was in grade school (1960s-1970s) nor did we have any school shootings.
God and guns are mutually exclusive. These conservatives are fishing for 'solutions,' that is all.

I'm surprised school integration hasn't come up yet.
