Thought you were in Scotland just to study?

Thought you were in Scotland just to study?

yup. no idea what's happening in the future though

really, the only real problem now is the fact that i only have my student flat which is exclusive to uni students and they expect me to evacuate it by january - no money, no job and no flat isn't a good combo so i'm kinda in a hurry to solve my stuff.

it was all pretty much completely my fault. turns out, they don't like students not attending classes and not handing in essays in time. i was expecting to drop out eventually, but was hoping to do it later on when i was better prepared to start doing something else: so i was about to jump, but they pushed anyways, so to speak. right now i just pretty much need any job and then i might start considering my future more, if i want to get a more vocational education or learn a trade at some point.

also i can go through an appeal process if i want to, but that's probably not going to happen.

Maybe some revlefters can give you a place to stay while you figure it out?

Out of interest, what were you studying?

I have places to crash but I'm hoping to spend as little time as possible on other people's coaches

Also Noxion: I studied history & spanish

Ps i'm using an iPad atm, the autocorrect suggested the finnish word for 'goat testicles' instead of the word possible. Curious

Could you at least not postpone the eviction date if you decided to do the appeals process? I'm actually in a similiar situation when it comes to appartments. 31st of March for me, "thankfully", so I got some time to figure shit out.

little update on my exciting life if anyone's interested:

in edinburgh now, i'll have to take a bus to aberdeen today and evacuate my room in student halls. so by the end of the weekend, i'll basically be homeless!

i've made my decision that i'm going to stay in the UK, as going back to my old city doesn't really seem to offer me that much (and i don't have a place to live in or a job to do there either) and i'm actually liking it here. not aberdeen probably, it was always a tad too small for my tastes so i've been looking at flats in edinburgh and glasgow and found several promising ones. then my plan is to just start merciless job-hunting fortunately as EU citizen i'm allowed the full benefits of the social security here.

so even though i'm about to be homeless, i'd say i'm doing pretty great. i went from having no money to having a fair amount because of a short-time job thingy in finland and i'm actually feeling weirdly liberated about not being in uni more, i preferred working life to studying life even before going there. and i'm probably moving to edinburgh, and i can't really stress how excited i'm about that

Well, I'm posting here as you never even bothered to reply to the PM I sent you on Dec 18th your heartless barstard.

As you already know, I think Edinburgh is a wonderful city. So in some ways I'm kinda envious. I hope you find a job soon, and that the flat-hunting goes well.

sorry! i didn't have a reliable internet connection in finland so i kind of forgot about the whole thing. i'm sorry you missed some of the most exciting tales of my life

but yeah, hanging around now in my eerily empty aberdeen flat, all stuff packed up and pretty much ready to go. time to say final goodbyes to this weird seagull-infested place

There's no jobs anywhere in Glasgow right now, but good luck.
