Personally I like diners a lot. Even if the food isn't that great. When I move to a new place for an extended period of time, I'll always try to locate the nearest 24 hour diner.

They do have one really good dish. Thou when you order it you tend to wait and see if others are ordering it as well. I mean it can't be all that good if you are the only person in a Mexican restaurant ordering it, right? You should wait for a more permanent order from the patrons so as the chef has all the abundance of materials. ;)(I had to do it)(

My experience with comida Mexicana both in Gringolandia and down in La Republica is that daily specials are often one's best best. Buena provecha, comapaneros!

The first time I watched television was when I broke and dislocated my elbow. I was hospitalized for three weeks and became a fan of Star Trek and various corny shows -- Batman, The Brady Bunch, Bonanza, etc.

To this day hospitals remind me of Star Trek TOS, and the reverse.

I broke my ribs when I was 10 and had to drink an iodine solution for a CAT scan and I have been allergic to shellfish ever since.

I dislocated my elbow in two places when I was 5 or 6 after falling over the side of a staircase. Fortunately / Unfortunately the doctor declined to tell me that the normal method for realigning the bones is to jerk the elbow into place which he did while "just examining" the elbow. Wasn't probably the most horrific pain of my life. He didn't however realise that it was a double dislocation at that point so I ended up having to go through surgery anyway.
