The overextension of the military is leading to a rise in a privatised military force. As if a normal military wasn't bad enough, it's not hard to see where this is heading. I wouldn't be surprised if these private armies one day became an extension of banks and corporations, subject to the forces of the "free market" (meaning, more elite, more ruthless private armies that can undermine their competition on the market).
