View Full Version : 5 Year Plan as Utopian

Hey, just a quick question, any help would be great.
I'm writing a paper for my stalinist culture class, and in this paper I'm arguing that in Culture Two during Stalin's reign the utopian nature of Culture One was carried over, though it was slightly different.

Essentially, there was some utopianism in the 1920s, and this continued in the 30s though the form was replaced (ie, informal utopianism in 20s while this changed into state encouraged utopian visions like the 5 year plan in the 30s.)

What I need is some primary sources of Marxists in the Soviet Union attacking the five year plan for being utopian. But I need these sources to be in the early 30s, basically as it was going on. So some obvious examples would be Trotsky I guess, what else is there?

Thanks!
