If capitalism ends, classes and the related methods of oppression end. Empowering people with collective ownership of the means of production is more or less the way to end oppression, rather than to "educate" people into not being total wads anymore.

In a very real way, yes, it does. Marriage as an institution of sexual oppression is rendered completely moot by socialism, for example, because there is no oppression without the deprivation of life and property, and where everyone owns everything, there isn't much incentive to off anyone anyway.

Not even kind of. The method of oppression mostly has to do with ownership, and this is the materialist conception of history. I'm sure people will still make racially-charged, lame-brain comments, and I don't doubt that there will be people in positions of administrative power who harbor reactionary attitudes. But socialism is the stage of human civilization in which systemic oppression simply cannot survive.
