While revolutionaries in Cairo break through the barricades, the workers in Mahalla have declared independence from Morsi's Egypt; they've stopped trains, occupied the local government building and started their own council.

Protesters in Mahalla, the largest industrial city in Egypt, threw out the head of their city council, Friday night, and announced their autonomy from the Muslim brotherhood state.
We no longer belong to the Ikhwani state, they announced from the city council.
Mahlla is known for its clashes with the police in 2008 which some analysts consider to be the spark of the January 25 2011 revolution.

It seems as if Egypt is in a revolutionary or at lesast pre-revolutionary situation. This opens up the very real possibility of dual power.

Of course I mean "revolutionary" in the Marxist sense, not just a change in regime but the possibility of working class power.
