i've trid to find stuff for learning about Canada's history but i keep getting stuff purely about wars overseas and top ten best selling canadians etc.

Can anyone please direct/link me to some good stuff on the economic and politcal developement/history of Canada?

The last big book I read on Canada was CANADA'S 1960S: THE IRONIES OF IDENTITY IN A REBELLIOUS ERA by Bryan Palmer.


For broad Left perspectives in Canada I'd look at http://rabble.ca/ and http://canadiandimension.com/ and http://www.socialistproject.ca/

If there are particular issues, or regions, or political questions, let me know.

There's a whole very interesting strain of political economy starting with Innis and Ryerson that has continued to this day.
