Excuse the spelling, I can never remember how it's spelt. Anway, what do you think of him? From what i've read from him he seems like just an oppertunist who made use of the civil rights movement for his own gains. But then if it wasnt for him Malcolm X would most probably never turned out how he did, so it wasn't all bad. Anyway i was just interested in your opinions on him.

he was an idiot who claimed to be a prophet, even though Muslims believe the last prophet was Muhammad PBUH. most likely he was teamed up with the feds. Malcolm X said that the people trying to kill him were not just the NOI- so he hinted it was the feds. Malcolm X was the true Islamic Socialist revolutionary and Elijah Muhammad was just a militant puppet who preached lies.

I don't think there is anything to argue about this man.

True, Malcolm X would never have happened.

However, Elijah Muhammed was, as someone has said, a con-man. As we know, the Nation of Islam was not true Islam. He told black men who were looking for a way out of a struggle to blame the white man, call the white man the devil, never to befriend the white man and that everything any white man ever does is for self-gain. Any idiot, even redstar, know that true Islam teaches nothing of the sort.

The guy even pops up with illegitimate children everywhere! Some prophet. Of course, he is no Prophet from God. As you have said, Muslims believe that the last Prophet was Muhammed.

Elijah Muhammed did nothing for the black man's struggle in America. All he did was help to distance blacks from whites even more. However, the argument back will always be "well Malcolm X would not have been what he was."

Well, Malcolm X became the true Malcolm after going to Makkah and after leaving Elijah Muhammed and the NOI. And besides, Elijah Muhammed's followers were, arguably, the ones who brought Malcolm down.

I wouldn't say Malcolm was an Islamic Socialist. By the end of his life, he was more of a humanist than a socialist. He said/wrote not long before his death, "I am not a politician, I just want to help the process of peace between the black man and the white man in this world."

Of all the revolutionaries and activists that have existed, after Che, Malcolm is the one I look to the most. I know how Elijah Muhammed led to Malcolm's eventual downfall and for that I despise of the guy and the Nation of Islam for preaching lies and hate.

It is not the Muhammed-NOI influenced Malcolm that we love; it is the Islamic Malcolm.
