A Double Life: Bisexual Bias in the Gay Community (http://www.phillymag.com/articles/double-life-bisexual-bias-gay-community/)
Bigotry and discrimination towards people who area attracted to both sexes is nothing new, not even inside the LGBT movement.

What a damned shame, why do people have to take the time out of the day to give a fuck about what other people do in bed?

Primarily because bourgeois misconception, propaganda, and bigotry extends towards every community whether oppressed or not; this is later "backed-up" by delusional prejudice in regards to the act of liberation (I.E Bisexual men have an attraction to women, hence they are not actually queer. This was the position, more or less, taken by Queer Nation in the 90s). Such behavior is seen in other communities as well which reinforces the need for radicals in these oppressed communities to promote unity with the factions which are most oppressed. A struggle within a struggle, in other words. It prolongs the over all movement but is an unfortunate necessity after so much conflicting combat tainted with liberalism.

This is similar to how ethnic minorities discriminate against one another even while knowing well that they're being oppressed by the elite. Pecking order, that's all. Nobody is interested in justice or equality. Everyone wants to be on top of the food chain.

I was once accused of being gay and just saying I was bisexual. The person insinuated that I called myself bisexual because I felt guilty and uncomfortable about my sexuality and thought bisexuality wasn't as weird. From my experience, people who are gay don't have this moronic idea that people who are bi are actually just gay and pretending out of guilt, or actually just straight and wanting to be different so they can get attention, just straight people who can't wrap their minds around the idea radical idea of being interested in both sexes.

In my experience, this view can be found among some gays and lesbians, too, and for the same reason: they can only understand the concept of monosexuality, i.e. one is either gay or straight.

I have met a fair amount of young gay people who had this belief (who admit it's because they themselves have actually claimed bisexuality to skirt the issue of them being gay.)
