I'd recommend reading the book (graphic novel?) too if you haven't already.

I watched this a while back. Don't remember much of it except for the part when her uncle (a communist) is executed by the Iranian government in the aftermath of the revolution.

Go ahead and see it. I saw the film before I read the book, and enjoyed them both.

I've seen it, the subtitled version. It's a very good movie. Go see it now.
I wasn't a Marxist at the time that I saw it but it was one of the things that steered me away from liberalism.
One point the movie makes though, revolutions are not comfortable things, you never know what is going to come out of the other end. The main character's parents wanted socialism when they joined the revolution but got a militaristic theocracy from the backlash against the west from the people who didn't live in the city. I would take from that that alliances with opposing ideologies are risky.

Whilst watching this film, I kinda hoped no liberals would think that this histrionic version of liberalism represented Marxism.

I've both read the book and seen the movie, and it's a really good story. I'm nthing the whole go and see it, it's really one of the best animations I've seen. I actually kind of prefer the animation to the comic, but both are terrific nevertheless.

I have read the graphic novel and watched the film, and it was really good.
Prolly one of the movies that somehow influenced my leftist ideas.
