Today the Boeing Company told union negotiators that it intends to deny pension survivor benefits to same-sex married couples, even though Washington State voters decisively approved a marriage equality law earlier this month.

It is clear that the only way for Boeing to recognise these symbols of equality won through bourgeois democracy is for the company to be bought by the states which do recognise them. Or nationalised, if it was a federal thing. God U.S. politics are fucked.

At any rate, it just goes to show how technically immune the bourgeoisie are to most of our puny civil rights things.
