Anyone taken the GRE's?

Could really use a practice exam to study off of, any useful advice or material etc

As for advice, I took them about a year and a half ago (right before the scoring system changed) but it should be roughly applicable still. Quantitative is much harder to get a high percentile than verbal. I received the same percentile score in both of them while having about a 150 point difference in scores between quantitative and verbal. I imagine this has a lot to do with non-American natives predominantly coming for hard science degrees.

What sort of degree are you looking at going for because that should tell you what to focus on studying. Engineering programs don't really care so much for your verbal/writing scores because that doesn't really relate to what you're going to be doing. Conversely, I would think that certain non-science programs don't care what your quantitative score was so long as you didn't get a zero.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I personally didn't find the GRE guide I had very helpful. I forget which one it was though or else I would tell you to stay away from it.
