More focus on adapting to climate change is needed. And I don't mean drawing up plans to drill for oil in the Arctic Ocean.

By Marx, Engels and Lenins beards I was born above the snow line and I'll die above the snowline! Global warming denialists and their capitalist master be damned to the pits of tartarus!

As if those predictions are among the most "horrifying" forecasts. All that stuff seems relatively mild compared to some suggestions of what we might be up against in a few decades.
Humanity is finished. It was fun while it lasted, I guess. For some of us at least.

From that article it sounds like winter will still be a distinct season, it'll just be warmer than it usually is.
Thanks World Bank! Perhaps if we entrust our future with the United Nations & associated bureaucracies, it'll all turn out for the best...;)

Things are fucking up on all fronts. Really at this point it's too much to ignore. Because it's not simply something that is affecting us on just an intellectual level anymore, it's something we are experiencing, something that is constantly being shoved up our ass that not even the most fervent deniers of global warming can avoid.
