...to light the pilot light on the heater in our appartment. Took them two weeks to come out, showed up just now according to our appointment. And rather than start the pilot light, he asked to check out basement. I thought that was strange. Then he came back up 10 minutes later and said he had shut off the water heater and all the gas because our vent for the hot air is the old style and we (our landlord actually) need to replace it.

So no heat, not hot water and since thanksgiving is next week I doubt we'll have it repaired, then inspected by PG&E again, before December.

I'm so angry I want to put my thumbs through eyeballs right now.

You need to invite your lanlord down to the basement and lock it behind you. Get creative down there.

Thank god I live in Cali - otherwise this would basically make our apartment unlivable. Now it just means lots of jackets inside and being reel stinky inbetween showers at friends apartments.

I've calmed down now, but I was so pissed off. They've been doing construction on our building for the last few months and I'm really being worn-down by not having any control over the basic conditions of where I live.

This revleft post was a stand-in for a cigarette. I really wanted one, but now I'm happy I refrained - I only want to smoke when I'm drinking.

I'm going to make a drink now.:lol:
