im sorry, ive got adhd. let me take it frame by frame on the specifications of the weapon. What che did was he took a rifle and took off the hammer. The replaced this with a lever mechanism that released a 'bow'. He the extended the barel by about 2x. He put a 'bow' at the end of the barrel. He attached 'bow strings' from the hammer to the tips of the bow. He attatched to the barrel a half pipe. Launching malaotiv cocktalis !

So, basically a grenage launcher but instead of a grenade it's a MC... nice.

What kind of discussion is this? Seriously, you should consider finding more relevant subjects than discussing what firearm Che had as a favorite. I really doubt he enjoyed taking the lives of anybody, and anyone who speaks of weapons with honor have never used one, at least not killed anyone. This is just pathetic.

No. We simply want to know what kind of gun and maybe a kill count? That doesn't change our opinions on Che/Fidel/anybody and if it does then you obviously didn't beleive in it at all. I think it's a simple discussion that doesn't have any political value. We just wanted to know what guns he used. Big deal.

an exerpt from "Guerrilla Warfare" it has the way the gun is made, and what its best used for. ;)

"By night a direct attack is always preferable. It is possible to capture an encapment if ther is enough drive and necessary presence of mind and if the risks are not excesive.

An encierclement requires waiting and taking covert, closing in steadly on the enemy, tryingng to harrass him in every way, and, avove all, triying to force him by fire to come out. Whe the circle has been close to the short range, the 'Molotov Cocktail' is a weapon of extraordinary effectiveness. Before arriving at a range for teh 'cocktail,' shotguns with a special charege can be employed. These arms, chritendn in our war with the name of 'M-16' consisnt of a 16-caliber sawed-off shotgun with a pair of legs added in such a way that with the bhutt of hte gun they form a tripod. Teh weapno will thus be mounted at an angle of about 45 degrees; this can be varied by movintg the legs back and forth. It is loaded with an open shell from which all shots have been removed. A cylinder stick extending from the muzxzl of the gun is used sas the projectile. A bottle of gasoline ersgin on a rubber base is placed on the end of the stick. Thi9s apparatus will fire the burinnig bottle a hundered meters or more with a fairly high degreee of accuracy. This is an ideal weapon for encirclements whtne the enemy has many wooden or inflamable mateiral construcions; also for firing against tanks in hilly country."

I threw one once. It was in an empty parking lot, heh. They're pretty cool, you just have to be super careful because it's gas in there, not just lighter fluid or something. I'll tell you one thing, they're louder and more firey than you would think...

DeadMan
29th December 2003, 23:24
And there a little harder to put out then most poeple would think. Even tho it is suppose to be gas, you can easy replace with with a gas/oil/liquid soap mixture to create some homemade napalm.

Napalm can be used to kill large weeds. In the Aussie outback there are massive (taller than a man) weeds with large thorns that kills live stock when they walk into it . Farmers then make napalm (cos it is so easy) and kill the weeds.

By the way, can an aussie be convicted of the paitriot act?

It was invented by some queer chemistry student.. its cool though made a couple and threw them around in parking lots and unused country roads.. The upgraded form is safer and more effective. It uses sugar.. i'll post the plan when i find it again..

The AK-47 is by far one of the best guns invented in the century. Not only is it strong, and effective, but it can fire underwater, in mud, in ice conditions, in jungles, basically in any climate this world has thrown at it. Even tho it does jam up quiet often and the recoil on it is horrible (its very powerful and it's recoil is a great deal to over come at first). Soldiers in Vietnam were told to give up there M-16 Vietnam version for AK-47 in the field as they we're more accurate and more powerful then the M-16.

The newer versions are more accurate, less recoil and jam alot less. And as an added bonus they are cheap to make/repair/operate.

PS: I read a guns book about a year ago. Where I got my information from.

Real guns are awesome to shoot, if your not trying to kill for fun. I shoot at trees and or targets. I usually shoot a .22 or .222 caliber gun. Your basic hunting rifle from way back when :P . Just go to a firing range and rent a gun to shoot.

If you're 15, you shouldn't be allowed to fire an airgun legally, that's why I figured you were old enough to rent a gun. Doesn't your dad hunt? That's where I got my guns/ammo.

The Bren(Sten?) is an old SMG. I wouldn't use it if I had something better.

For pistols you can't beat the glock. 9mm is more powerful than most people think, plus it's fairly common.
For something with more punch I'd go for a Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum.
Unlike the Desert Eagle this baby won't jam. :P

"This is the most powerful handgun in the world. It could blow your head clean off"

I would definately go for a pump action or semi-auto shotgun with at least 7 rounds capacity.

Bolt action rifles are the best for sniping purposes. They have better round alignment in the breech than magazine-fed rifles. They're also more reliable.

For SMGs I would go for an Uzi, but I would do my best to get hold of this (http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg08-e.htm)

For assault rifles it's the old favourite, the AK-47, with the possibility of the SA-80 or M16 with M203 GL in urban situations. I would also try to get the stoner rifle (Basically an M4a1 which fires AK Rounds)
It would also be nice to get hold of an AK with an M203 GL.

Although most heavy weapons are impractical for the revolutionary, I would also recommend the RPG-7 (One of the most common anti-tank weapons in the world)

Apart from that, stick to claymores and grenades.

And now for blades. For general purposes I would go for a long, sharp dagger with brass knuckles, so I have the option of punching or stabbing/slashing.
If I wanted to do some serious disembowelling, I would go for either a very sharp cavalry sabre with a basket hilt (Same reasons as for dagger)
Either that or a Katana/Washikazi combination, they are wickedly sharp and very strong.

i like chinese stars.. i mean i've never thrown or even touched one, but if you can do what the people at hollywood can (which i doubt) it would be cool.

for revolutionaries i'd have to say that the ak47 is cheap and the standard. You can buy it in almost every asian country for less than 20$ if you know where too look. Ammo is pretty cheap too.

its this thing im talking about: AK47 (http://kalashnikov.guns.ru/models/ka50.html)

Well I wouldnt use swords.I would rather use daggers, knives, nunchakus, sais etc.Something that is small enough to carry as a secondary weapon. But then again I would prefer bayonet,butt-stock or hand-hand in close combat.

Stars are pretty handy but I would use throwing knives.

yeah man, go robin hood on their asses!

Man, realistically i think the best weapon would be an AK-47 clone, or an SKS....

And who the fuck said a stoner was in 7.62X39mm? Last time i checked it was a .223 sniping weapon for law enforcment?

It was made by the same person,(Eugene Stoner) I forgot the weapon's exact name

This is what I was talking about. (http://www.securityarms.com/20010315/galleryfiles/2100/2138.htm)

Nunchakas are worthless toys if you don't know how to use them. Someone once tried to use nunchakus on my uncle while he was holding a cricket bat. He just wacked them over the head.
I'd use a light sword like the cavalry sabre or the Daisho (A Katana/Washikazi(sp?) combination) for the reach it gives. If you're holding a knife (Even if it's pretty long) and your opponent has a fixed bayonet, you're screwed.

molatov cocktail launcher?

I know he invented a crossbow-type weapon that shot cans of gunpowder. They were called 'Sputniks'. Is this what your talking about or did he use Molatov's alot too?

I didn't know he used the M1 alot, that's some cool information. I think he also used the tommy gun pretty much too.

no in guerrilla warfare he drew a diagram, it's a shotgun with a molotov cocktail on a stick sticking out of the barrel.
As for weapons i would probably want a AK-107 or AK-108 they have grenade launchers as well. Or even the new AN-94.
Whoever said SA80 i would seriously not go there.

whoever said AK-47's jam alot what are you on? The AK-74 has less recoil but Kalashnikov himself say they should of stuck with the higher caliber round thats has to say something AK-47 forever!!.Oh yeah you guys don't think Che and other's had AK's what with them being involved with the Soviet Union later on.One would think that they had to have a few crates of shiny new Ak's delivered, I mean If they had russian Missiles.

See what lighting count said!? Exactly that. AK's don't jam and when they DO it's RARE. They can over heat as with any full auto, and the 74 is NOT an "improvement" it's merely a drop in caliber which is ignorant. Judging by the fact russia was co-operative with Cuba in the 60's Che probably did have an AK before his death.
