I'm hoping to start to do some research on George Harvey who was the editor of the Socialist newspaper of the SLP circa 1912 and was a militant miner in the County Durham coalfields. He was also responsible for writing some excellent publications on Industrial Unionism. What I'm currently looking at is his involvement in early CPGB activities such as the Northern Miners Communist Movement and in the Red Trade Union movement.

What I'm trying to figure out was the Communist Miners Movement a seperate organisation from the Unofficial Reform Movement that existed in the coalfields in the early 1920's.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

I'll try to find any info I can on this, I may have a pic of the banner he was on from Wardley, I'm sure I have it somewhere... just checked, I do but it's black-and-white.
