Hello I failed my first exams to get in the university so I'm thinking of trying again. My subjects that I have to write are literature, biology, history, Latin, ancient Greek and modern Greek.

I suppose our politicians (and every politician) doesn't want the people of their country to learn anything that's why we have to learn EVERYTHING with a few exceptions by heart.

Do you have any good advices for learning all these things by heart? What helps you, what you don't usually do etc. It would be extremely helpful if Greek comrades have a saying in this because they know the system more than others.

Anyway any help is welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Understanding what you are learning makes it easier to recall the information.

Some people can use mnemonics to associate information with lexical or visual cues.

Try to discover your learning style. There can be a difference in learning outcome between listening to stuff and reading it, or seeing it.

Cheat.
I say, can you cheat? Nothing says ingenuity and perseverance like cheating.

Find somebody to talk over the material with - that always helps me a lot. Being forced to articulate and explain things really affects the way they stay in my brain.
I feel like it's pretty personal, though.

If I cheat then I might get a university sit from another guy that have studied his ass to get into it. It's not my style I've never cheated and I don't think I will ever do (at least in school/educational issues). Plus the teachers are like super-alien cameras that see everything in those days

I always eat loads of food while I study. As long as my jaws are moving I can concentrate. Don't eat anything fat or you will gain loads of weigth! Eat crackers or popcorn or something.

I guess it depends a lot on how much time you're willing to study, but if you take different approaches to studying the same thing, I find it helps a lot for retention. For example, you'd read something from your textbook and then look up something about it on youtube, etc. Obviously you can't do that for everything, but any attempt to introduce multiple approaches usually works well for me (although that may just be because it forces me to put more time into it).

Well I'm a big fan of this way for teaching/learning but I didn't have it at my school... When I see something after I've heard about it I can recall more details (right part brain user you see...). It's not that good because they want us to learn every single word from the book and just put it on a paper... The exact words... The next day nobody remembers anything... Our brain is clearing the shit from the next day  With this method I can remember and say everything I want but with my own words not the book's words
