Hi guys/gals! I'm a history student from Pennsylvania. A good friend directed me to this forum, and I'm looking to connect with like-minded individuals. I love reading about history and philosophy, so if you have any recommendations, send them hither.

I know that there are a lot of history buffs here - a lot. I'm sure that if you search some of the groups that you will find one that is in active discussion.

Also, where is the love for the new user ppl?

'Sup, G-whizz! Welcome to the forum :)

I'm just glad there's nobody else running around with a Camus-avatar at the moment. Remember when there were two of 'em and it just got super confusing because you'd be all 'hey, over here you said...oh, no, wait, that was the other Camus-dude my bad' and then your brain would explode? Yeah, we don't want that again...

Welcome from a fellow history student and enthusiast. What field of history do you plan on specializing in?

I am particularly fond of Latin American history specifically. More broadly, I love post-WWII and modern world history.

Sup homie. I've been reading alot about ancient history lately, but I know a fuckload about modern history as well. Leftists are nerds about stuff like industrialization, so you could be right at home if you like talking about that kinda stuff.

I enjoy Sartre, Nietzsche, Kafka, and some Kierkegaard. I'm basically big on the existentialists.

Welcome! I went to college in PA, and while I don't live there now it's always nice to see folks from the state on here.

I really need to beef up my knowledge of history, I feel like a noob compared to some of the other more knowledgeable comrades here. Anyway, welcome to the forum mate.

Ah, Chester County. One branch of my family came from the southern area of the county.

I'm unsure. I guess I'd consider myself an anarchist, to use an umbrella term. It's a work in progress.
