Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a lawyer in Texas trying to make it work. I found this forum and welcome the opportunity to have a discussion with likeminded individuals about the things that are important to us. I also hope to contribute to this board to the best of my ability.

Welcome, and remember there are also women on this forum. I understand what you meant(What's up guys) but it would have come up sooner or later. There are better non-gender collective nouns out there to choose from. Play with it on your free time and see what you come up with.:thumbup1:

Welcome! Glad to have you with us.

I used to live in Oklahoma, and have been to Texas several times. Where in TX are you from?

idk i use and hear gender-neutral use of guys all the time. i don't think there's anything weird in saying what's up guys even to an all-female group

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm in Austin, which is awesome, but I'll soon be moving to a more rural, smaller town. It's beautiful out there and there are no attorneys helping out underrepresented communities out there, so we'll see how it goes. I hope I don't have too many run-ins with Boss Hogg and the Good Ole Boys out there. We'll see. Again, I look forward to contributing here, and thanks again!
