Didn't all the great communists throughout history have beards?

I rarely shave anyway.

Never heard of that, but hell fucking no. Since I lost the hair on my head and are forced to shave of the remains, I can't really have a beard without looking like a biker or a gangster.. I also hate body hair on myself (even though I really don't mind some chest hair on my prince charmings).
And naturally, perhaps because of Murphy's law or shitty genes, the hair on my body has been increasing at an even faster rate than I'm loosing my head-hair, to the degree that I would soon be accepted as a full member of a gorilla clan. So thank non existant god for the epilator.

Is it a sobering moment when one finds out they're losing their hair? I always thought it was silly that some people freak out about it, but then I start to think what it would really be like. I don't think I'd want to lose my hair, I dunno it just seems a part of me.

It just sucks. Everyone keeps telling me that I look good with a shaved head, and I guess it's kind of true, but it's so boring to not be able to variate. At least I'm lucky this isn't the 80's or early 90's, when shaving your head basically meant that you were a nazi. Atleast around here.
Also, it makes you look so much older. I have almost no wrinkles, so if I had hair I'd probably look at least 5 years younger. And, even though this should go without saying, you simply have to shave it all off if you get thin haired. Otherwise you look like Crusty the Clown.

The stuff I get is sparse and patchy, and I'm not really a fan of facial hair anyway so I prefer to go clean-shaven.
I like having long hair on my head, although if my hairline starts receding I'll cut it. I don't reckon I'll start losing my scalp hair for a while.

The issue with no shave november is seeing the family on thanksgiving. I have a very wealthy and conservative step family, so.

Yeah but only because I just quit my job and was going to grow it out anyways! Two years ago I did it and I have about the same amount of hair right now a few days in as I did two years ago at the end of the month. I'm hella hairy...

uh yeah that's this Movember thing which is meant to be to raise money for prostate cancer charity or something but now a lot of people just seem to be doing it to be Lads.
I would grow a beard if I could, especially in winter cos shaving and then going out hurts me. I can't grow a decent beard but I still have to shave every couple of days. FML.

After I came down from the hills years ago I decided to experiment with a beard. Not to shabby I might say! Yet now that I may be going back up I know that, sadly, I'll have to keep up appearances in the woods and shave every day.
For the record, I came out squarely against Prostrate Cancer way before it was popular to do so. Think I still have a plastic wristband that says so.

I think I'd do the same thing. I'd like to think I wouldn't be one of those guys desperately trying to Rogaine my hair back, just seems pitiful. Not pitiful in the sense that it's generally a bad thing to do if you don't want to lose your hair, just something that seems sadder than it should be.

Nothing bad with Rogaine per se, had we a socialist society and such drugs were administrated more cheaply or free, or if it was at least covered by high cost limit regulations. The problem is that it's expensive and the hair falls off again if you quit. Hair transplant is the way to go, permanent, fast, painless and natural looking.
There is also a new method, developed by a doctor operating a clinic here in Stockholm, which doesn't even leave any scars. It's just that it costs a fortune too..

It's very personal of course. But fuck I want my hair back!

If I could grow a beard I'd probably want to experiment. I always think if I was a guy I'd grow all kinds of crazy moustaches and beards just to see how they look, but yeah I'm a woman and I don't get facial hair :(

The thing with beards, I've noticed is that as long as you can't grow one it annoys you, but once/if you finally can, they annoy you even more. Experimenting with goatees etc is only fun for that long, then it's mostly irritating as you have to shave or at least trim it to look representable, eapecially if you have a job that requires it.

I'm already getting comments about why I don't shave.
It's not going fast though and with blond hair it doesn't stand out much either.

I've not shaved in around 8 months. I tend to go long periods without shaving these days mostly to do with laziness although shaving does irritate my skin a fair bit.

If I don't shave like every 3 days it gets ITCHY AS FUCK
One of my ex's wouldn't let me shave (except my neck and around my lips, and she still got mad) for like 3 months once. Felt like I had fleas or something. Jeezus. I shaved when the lady that cuts my hair told me I looked like a mountain man. (My head hair was about chin-length, too, when I went in)

I might actually do that. The confidence and discipline learned during no fap November can be applied to many other endeavors in life.

I only shave when I go out to places where I want to look presentable, so not very often. Whenever I do shave it itches a lot, maybe it wouldn't if I shaved more often.

Lotion helps. Get unscented lotion unless you want to smell like lavender and tulips, which is totally cool, or go to the shaving aisle they have 'manly scent' after-shave lotion if you prefer that generic 'manly scent', which makes me think of old people.

I'd imagine it would get less itchy if you didn't shave? I find that shaving irritates my skin and it feels loads nicer not doing so. Although I guess I still look presentable with hair on my body whereas a big shaggy beard can look pretty scruffy.

Generic "manly scent" is really weird and unattractive. Why can't man products just smell of flowers?

I actually barely shave anyway. Because of my blond hair, I can pull of just using the trimmer at its lowest setting (0.5mm) every now and then, to look "representable". So, no itching issues here.

I think the hairs on men's chins are relatively stiff and thick. Certainly mine can feel uncomfortably prickly on my face if for whatever reason I don't shave for a few days. I end up compulsively rubbing my chin all the time and it drives me round the bend.

It never really stopped itching, I just kind of got used to it after the first month or so

Well I use the unscented stuff on my face because otherwise I'll smell whatever scent it is constantly and I hate that. I don't care what the lotion smells like if I'm using it on my hands or something, the stuff I have for my hands now is actually lavender scented. But that 'manly scent' ... ugh, it's so awful.
