Hello all,
As you may have guessed, I am not Tamerlane. For one thing, I'm from the UK (studying Politics, as it happens).
I think I probably became a lefty - well, I've always been broadly on the left, but I only thought of myself as being on the Left (does that make sense? No? Well I'm going to keep typing anyway) after reading Peter Marshall's Demanding the Impossible A History of Anarchism, which, despite being quite the doorstopper, is a very interesting read. From there I read several texts mentioned - Godwin's Enquiry, Kropotkin's Conquest and Berkman's ABC. I've yet to read Marx's Capital or Manifesto, though the latter is required for one of my classes (History of Political Ideas).
So. Yes. There you go. I look forward to posting more.
